3.1 magnitude earthquake shakes part of central Oklahoma

LUTHER, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a small earthquake has shaken parts of central Oklahoma.

Geologists say the 3.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded at 5:24 a.m. Wednesday 4 miles (7 kilometers) northeast of Luther, about 22 miles (35 kilometers) northeast of Oklahoma City. The USGS says the earthquake was recorded at a depth of about 3 miles (5 kilometers).

No injuries or damage are reported. Geologists say damage isn't likely in quakes below magnitude 4.0.
