October 12, 2018

SAN ANTONIO (Oct. 11, 2018) – Oklahoma Christian's shots were mostly on target, but the Lady Eagles couldn't squeeze one into the goal on Thursday night at Sigma Beta Chi Field.

St. Mary's (Texas) scored the game's lone goal in the 31st minute and rode it the rest of the way for a 1-0 win over OC, the third time the Lady Eagles have dropped a one-goal decision this soccer season.

Of the seven shots for OC (0-12, 0-9 Heartland Conference), six were on target – including two each by seniors Lauren Parker and Darrian Palacios – and required saves by St. Mary's goalkeeper Erin Longford.

St. Mary's (5-5-2, 3-5-1) took 13 shots, and one by Alexia Maldonado proved decisive, as she scored in a one-on-one situation against OC goalkeeper Addison Milner.

Milner made six saves, increasing her league-leading total to 87.

OC will visit Texas A&M International on Saturday afternoon.
