Rep. Carl Newton was the guest speaker at the Oct. 3 meeting of Wheatland Republican Women. Newton gave an informative presentation on the state questions that will appear on the November ballot. Sample ballots were provided to the group. Dr. Newton also talked about the state budget and the percentage each agency receives.

President Jane McDermott presided at the business meeting. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The treasurer's report was also presented and approved.
