Alva tames the Luther Lions 41-36

Running back Dalton Hess had a strong game on the ground for the Goldbugs.

The Alva Goldbugs came back from a deficit to defeat the Luther Lions 41-36 Friday night. The exciting finish was marred by what appeared to be a leg injury to senior quarterback Mitchell Meyer who took a hard sack in the fourth quarter. It's unknown how the injury will impact Meyer's ability to continue leading the team. Sophomore wide receiver Gavin Perez also left the game with an injury.

Freshman Kaden Slater stepped into the quarterback spot with just over three minutes left in the contest and led the Goldbugs from a 36-27 deficit to the final victory.
