If passed, this measure amends the state constitution and allows the establishment of the Oklahoma Vision Fund. Proponents say that this fund would have a great positive impact on the long term financial situation of our state. Alaska and North Dakota have established similar funds. That being said, counties receiving gross production tax due to oil production in their areas would have a decrease in their GPT revenue, like many of those in northwest Oklahoma. This would have a negative effect on their county governments including the school districts in those areas.
