Oklahoma trooper charged with running plates to harass women

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — Misdemeanor charges have been filed against an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper accused of using state records to harass women.

Cleveland County court records indicate 40-year-old Rodney Lynn Rideaux was charged Wednesday with five counts of unauthorized use of Oklahoma's law enforcement telecommunication system.

Court records allege that Rideaux used state resources to run license plates and names of women he was interested in or had relationships with between September 2017 and May 2018. Court records don't indicate whether Rideaux has an attorney who can speak on his beh...
