There is starting to be a nip in the air which signals holiday time. Holiday time can be stressful for some families trying to provide for the extra mouths to feed. On Saturday, Nov. 3, Alva Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts will be canvassing the town collecting food for the Harvest Food Drive. The food the scouts collect will be used to fill the holiday baskets given to the families less fortunate and in need of some help this holiday season. All food collected stays locally.
