ECU Volleyball: Dungen Hits 1,000 Assist Mark at Southeastern

DURANT, OKLA. – The East Central University volleyball team played on the road for the last time in 2018, falling to arch rival Southeastern Oklahoma State 3-0 (25-20, 25-21, 25-16).

Set One: L, 20-25

Three tie scores/one lead change

Final tie at six, the Savage Storm then used a 5-0 run to take control for good

Set Two: L, 21-25

Southeastern took an early 2-0 lead and never let the Tigers (0-27, 0-15 GAC) get closer than two points the rest of the set

Set Three: L, 16-25

Five tie scores/ two lead changes

Savage Storm earned an early 3-0 lead

ECU fought back to the set at five

Tied at five to nine

SEOSU then went on a 7-0 run

Teams were even for the rest of the set

So. Sydney Dungen became the sixth ECU student-athlete to record over 1,000 assists

1,007 Career Assists (No. 6 in ECU records)

Started the season with 412 assists after her freshman season

17 assists, eight digs, one kill vs. SEOSU

The teams were tied in digs and total blocks

Digs: 41

Total Blocks: 4.0

Sr. Karina Erreguin: 14 kills, .636 (14k-0e-22ta) hitting percentage, three digs, one assist, one block assist

So. Kasey Beeler: Nine digs, three assists

Jr. Kaitlyn Coffey: Five kills, one service ace, three digs, two block assists
