ECU Women's Cross Country Finishes Third at 2018 GAC Championship

EDMOND, OKLA. – The East Central University women's cross country team finished third, out of 11 teams, at the 2018 Great American Conference Championship. The Tigers were paced by redshirt junior Anna Mora, who finished fourth overall and claimed her third All-GAC First Team honor.
Sophomore Kyleigh Norris was the second to finish for the Tigers, earning 10th and All-GAC First Team honors for the second-straight season. ECU was also represented on the All-GAC Second Team by junior Abbie Winchester (18th), earning her second All-GAC Second Team honor (2016).

The awards did not stop there for the Tigers, with Winchester claiming the GAC Elite Scholar honors, for the student-athlete with the highest GPA that participated in the championship and have completed at least 70 credit hours, with for 4.0 GPA.
The Tigers also saw Mora and senior Kelsey Horner named GAC Distinguished Scholars.
ECU will now have two weeks off before traveling to Joplin, Mo., to participate in the 2018 NCAA Division II Central Regional, hosted by Missouri Southern State.
