In October of 2018, Padraic McMeel was named associate vice chancellor and director of athletics at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. UAM Chancellor, Dr. Karla Hughes said, "I am excited that Padraic McMeel has agreed to lead UAM Athletics into a new era. He recently served as the interim athletics director at Oakland University, and with his background and experience I am sure he will continue to build on the UAM traditions of athletics excellence and student success."
