This Saturday, the Nov. 10 meeting of the Northwest Genealogy Society will be at 10:30 a.m. at the Alva Public Library. The guest speaker will be Joel Johnson who has been a serious student of deltiology for about 20 years. Deltiology is the study of old postcards. Johnson's active interest in deltiology began about two decades ago after discovering some old real photo postcards in an old chest belonging to his maternal grandmother.
