Women's Basketball: GOLDEN SUNS FALL SHORT IN SEASON OPENER

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Jacie Higgins scored a team-high ten points and Lyrik Williams grabbed a team-high eight rebounds but the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns (0-1) came up short, falling 65-51 to Minnesota State-Moorehead.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After Tech jumped out to a 3-0 lead, MSMU controlled the rest of the quarter, building a 21-16 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The Golden Suns opened the second quarter with a 10-4 run to regain the lead at 26-25 with 6:04 remaining in the first half.

The Dragons answered by closing the quarter out on an 12-0 run to take a 37-26 lead going into halftime.
