The Burlington first-grade class members are (from left back row) Mrs. Candi Davis, Garrett Sims, Kennedy Jantz, Zoeigh Olson, Avery Roberts, Bentley Udovich, David Reimer, (front row) Zoey Graham, Lilli Redinger and Matty Olson.
Mrs. Davis has a class of nine first graders this year. This will be her fourth year teaching and second year here at Burlington.
The studeents are currently learning how to read, and about the different vowels and vowel sounds. In math, they are learning about number patterns. Some of the class's favorite subjects are math and science.
The kids enjoy activities such as practicing their spelling words with piles of shaving cream to spell out words on their desks. Another one of their favorite activities is when they get to build things with Play-doh. They have also each made their own pumpkins...
