Knowledge is nothing without love

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing (1 Corinthians 13:2 NIV).
Paul’s opening salvo, in verse one, concerning speaking in tongues (see last week’s article) doesn’t raise my hackles as much as his second claim.
