ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Lyrik Williams had a team-high 20 points, grabbing seven rebounds, Hannah Villines scored 11 points and tallied eight rebounds as the Golden Suns basketball team (3-2, 1-0 Great American Conference) picked up a 71-61 win over Ouachita Baptist (2-4, 0-1 GAC) on Thursday night at Bill Vining Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Ouachita jumped out to an early 9-2 lead in the opening minutes of the first quarter.

Arkansas Tech responded with a 12-3 run, capped by a Jacie Higgins 3-pointer to give Tech it first lead of the game (14-12) at the 2:45 minute mark.
