Lady Tigers Fall to Arkansas Tech in GAC Opener

Arkadelphia, Ark - The Ouachita Lady Tigers fell short of their first possible Great American Conference win against Arkansas Tech University at home in Bill Vining Arena by a final score of 71-61.

Arkansas Tech shot 40.8% from the field, got a total of 50 rebounds, and had 40 points in the paint. Ouachita shot 36.5% from the field, grabbed 38 total rebounds, and scored 34 points in the paint.

Madison Brittain(Bentonville,Ark), a Junior guard for Ouachita, led the charge in tonight's matchup. Brittain scored 15 points, had 3 assists, stole the ball 3 times, and also grabbed 3 total rebounds.

Senior Guard Alivia Huell (Malvern, Ark) also had an all around solid game in tonight's matchup, which included a double double on the night. This is the 2nd double double in the season for Huell. She would go on to score 13 points, get 2 steals, and grab a total of 11 rebounds on the night.

Sophomore Forward Eden Crow (Texarkana, Ark) also contributed in tonight's game. Crow scored 7 points, got 1 steal, had 1 assist, and picked up 6 total rebounds.
