Alva School Board hears from high school teachers

Alva High School Principal Les Potter is enthusiastic about the school's classroom teachers. He told the Alva Board of Education Monday that he's asked school faculty and staff to focus on "telling our story better." He has challenged them to do a better job of telling what the school does well.

Potter said Alva Schools have a good reputation around the state. When he talks to people he knows in other areas, they usually refer to Alva's athletic programs, but he tells them, "Come look at my teachers."
