The Dec. 8 Northwest Oklahoma Genealogy Society (NWOGS) guest speaker will be Leah Haines, who is a member of the Oklahoma Genealogical Society.
Haines grew up in Alva where she graduated from Alva High School and Northwestern Oklahoma State University. She and her husband, Kevin, now live in Oklahoma City and she is employed at the OU College of Medicine.
Haines will discuss the importance of networking with other genealogy groups when doing research. She developed a passion for genealogy after she did a DNA test and has became very interested in researching and learning more about her matern...
