Late Layup Sends Henderson State Past Harding

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State reserve guard Jeremiah Toney made a layup on the left side with 3.4 seconds remaining to lift the Reddies to a 75-74 victory over Harding Saturday in Great American Conference men's basketball action.
After a cold start to the second half, Harding went on a stretch where it hit 7 of 8 field goals and took a 72-71 lead on Jordan West's 3-pointer with 3:02 left. Both teams made two free throws and no baskets down the stretch until Toney's layup. Harding missed four free throws in the final two minutes, including two with 16 seconds remaining.
