ADA – The East Central University men's basketball team kept its home-winning streak to four, with an 81-72 victory over McKendree at the Kerr Activities Center.
Scoring
First Half: 38-26
The Tigers (4-4, 1-1 GAC) saw the Bearcats (4-4, 1-1 GLVC) open with a 7-0 run
ECU then took control with a 20-0 through the first six minutes
The Tigers increased their lead to 15 (24-9) over the next two minutes
McKendree cut the deficit to nine, with a 6-0 run
The advantage was kept between 11-13 until seven minutes were left
The Bearcats used a 7-2 run to get within eight (32-24)
ECU finished the stanza with a 6-2 run
Second Half: 43-46
McKendree started the second half with a 14-4 run in the first five minutes
Cut the deficit to two (42-40)
The Tigers regrouped and had the lead back to double-digits, with 12 minutes left
The teams traded shots and small runs the rest of the stanza
