Staff and administration compensation adjustments approved at Kiowa City Council meeting

December 12, 2018

At the end of regular business at the Kiowa City Council December meeting Monday night the council held five executive sessions that lasted approximately one and a half hours. That's according to City Administrator Lou Leone.

The first executive session was to discuss an appointed position; discussion lasted five minutes with no action taken upon return to open session. The second executive session, also lasting about five minutes, was discussion of a non-elected position with no action taken.

Leone said the third executive session lasted about 20 minutes. Afterward, Leone said the council approved compensation adjustments for staff based on his individual recommendations.

Next, the council approved a compensation adjustment for Leone based on Mayor Ron Rohr's recommendation. Then the council approved a one-time compensation adjustment for a non-elected employee based on Leone's recommendation.

The regular session business of the council meeting will run in the Newsgram next Wednesday.
