Goats cut overgrowth for Oklahoma Girl Scouts, Midwest City

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A group of Oklahoma City Girl Scouts and the government of a nearby city have handed over landscaping duties to goats.

The Journal Record reports the American Institute for Goat Research at Langston University has loaned a small herd of goats to the Girl Scouts of Western Oklahoma to eat weeds and poison ivy that people would have a hard time cutting down by hand. The Girl Scouts have new property near the Oklahoma City Zoo.
