OG&E warns residential and business customers about payment scams

OKLAHOMA CITY— OG&E has seen an increase in customer reports about scammers posing as OG&E employees and demanding payment both in person and via phone. These scammers are especially targeting churches, small businesses and nursing homes.
The company wants its customers to know it does not send representatives out to customers’ homes or businesses to collect payments and will never demand payment over the phone.
