Lady Jackets overpower the Ladybugs in Friday's match-up

The Alva Ladybugs fell 51-32 on the road in Friday's match up with the Lady Jackets in Fairview.

The Ladybugs struggled to keep up with the depth of the Lady Jackets. Alva had six players who logged 25-plus minutes in the game. Peyton Jones was the only player in double figures in the game for Alva, followed by Acacia Charles with 8 points and 12 rebounds, and lastly Hallie and Chloe Durkee both had 3 points.

The front line of the Lady Jackets wore Alva down. Maddie Mason ended with 15 points, 10 in the first half, followed by Lexie Reihm who also had 15 points, 12 in the second half.

Fairview took a commanding lead in the second half after finishing the first half 25-16. Alva was outscored 17-8 in the third quarter and outscored 9-8 in the fourth quarter. The Lady Jackets took 20 (50 total) more shots than the Ladybugs and also went 10-11 from the free throw line.

The Ladybugs will play their next two games at home this coming week, Dec. 18 versus Tonkawa and Dec. 21 versus Perry.
