South Barber concession stands raise $900 for Ministerial Alliance Food Bank

Principals comment on students and activities

A long holiday tradition at South Barber High School has been to collect goods for the South Barber Ministerial Alliance in Kiowa, Kansas.

For years the school had a Block the Door event. Students brought non-perishable food to block their classroom doors so they didn't have any class the last day before Christmas. Then they would load pickups and deliver it to the food bank.

Principal Brent Shaffer said times have changed with less enrollment and he came up with an alternate idea.
