Burlington has a group of 15 super second graders this year under the guidance of Mrs. Kelly Campbell. This marks her eighth year of teaching and she is very excited about it.

The students are currently working hard on spelling. The kids love to play Sparkle, which is a spelling game. They each give a letter to try and spell the word correctly; if they get their letter wrong they are out of the game.

This class plays very well together. They really like math and reading. Double digit addition was a challenge at first, but they are all proud of themselves for understanding it now.

"The kids have really done great thus far," Mrs. Campbell said. "Being at a small school has its perks. I've known this class of students since they started pre-K. Thirteen of the 15 have already been together as a class that long."
