Going to the Emergency Room – Part 1

Lately, I’ve been having mixed feelings about hospital emergency rooms. On the one hand, I am grateful that they are around when a crisis arises. On the other hand, I wish I’d quit needing them!

Last year I wrote an article about how I managed to get my small intestine twisted into a knot and wound up in an emergency room in Alexandria, Louisiana. Five hours after being admitted, I underwent emergency surgery. Thankfully, I have made a complete and successful recovery.
