Woods County commissioners discuss election board business

The first item needing action was the election of 2019 Officers for the Board of County Commissioners. Randy McMurphy will continue as chairman and John Smiley as vice president.

The minutes from the last meeting, Dec. 26, 2018, were approved. Road crossing permits for Select Energy Services were also approved. McMurphy, seconded by Hamil, motion for approval.

Monthly reports were approved next:

• Assessor collections: $251.

• County Clerk Office collections: $8,050.10.

• Court Clerk Office collections: $233,373.99.

• Election Board balance: $4,335.29.

• Health Department collections: $59.16.

• Treasurer’s Office Board: $122.183.

Monthly appropriations were also approved.

Hamil, seconded by Smiley, motioned for approval of Fair Board Elections. The elections will be Jan. 22-28.

Bid No. 18-19-08 for six month bid and related, bid No. 18-19-11 for hauling the six month bid were opened and discussed.


Next, discussion for the 2019 REAP grant for Woods County RWD#3 was discussed. The potential grant will be for $50,668.39.

The registration report stated that there are 4,326 active voters in Woods County.

Next, blanket purchase orders were approved and the meeting was adjourned.
