SEARCY, Ark. -- Oklahoma Baptist continued to flex its muscle winning yet another tough men's basketball game with a 70-67 road victory Thursday at Harding University. The win improved the Bison to 7-6 overall and 6-1 in the Great American Conference and kept them tied atop the league standings with Arkansas Monticello and Southern Arkansas.

OBU will next play Saturday on the road at Arkansas Tech University. Game time is at 3 p.m. in Russellville, Ark.

Brantley Thompson scored 20 points and Dishon Lowery added 14 as the Bison held off a late-game rally by the home team. OBU had its biggest lead when Lowery put the Bison ahead 49-37 with 9:13 to play on a short jumper

Harding chipped away at the Bison advantage but were never closer than three points thanks to clutch shooting by Antonio Wade and Thompson. The game finisher was delivered by Lowery who followed a miss shot with an thunderous follow slam dunk putting OBU up 59-55 with 2:31 to play.

The Bison finished the game with four players in double figures. Joining Thompson and Lowery were Wade with 12 and Davion Turner with 11.

The Bison shot 26-of-61 for 42.6 percent, including five three pointers. Turner and Thompson combined for two triples to lead OBU in that category
