Burlington Lady Elks win Cherokee Invitational Basketball Tournament

The Burlington Lady Elks beat the Waukomis Lady Chiefs, winning them the Championship in the Cherokee Invitational Tournament.

The Burlington Lady Elks won the girls' division championship of the Cherokee Invitational Basketball Tournament this past weekend in Cherokee.

Other winning local teams included the Cherokee Chiefs, who won third place among the boys' teams; the Cherokee Lady Chiefs, who won the consolation round among the girls' teams; the Timberlake Lady Tigers, who won third place in the girls' teams; and the Timberlake Tigers, who won the boys' consolation round.
