LUBBOCK, Texas – Rogers State Men's Basketball's comeback bid fell short Thursday night as the Hillcats fell to Lubbock Christian 80-75 at the Rip Griffin Center in Heartland Conference play.

After trailing by as many as nine points, the Hillcats (13-5, 2-2 Heartland) erased the Chaparrals' (12-5, 3-2) advantage and took the lead from Lubbock Cristian midway through the second half.

However, Lubbock Christian answered back and extended the lead eight points, with the Hillcats only able to trim the deficit as close as two in the final few minutes of the contest.
