ECU's Pacheco-Orozco Earns Olympic A Standard at Houston Marathon

ADA – Former East Central University men's cross country and track & field runner Juan-Joel Pacheco Orozco recently earned an Olympic A Standard time at the 2019 Chevron Houston Marathon and Aramco Houston Half Marathon (Jan. 20).
Pacheco Orozco hit the stand with a time of 2:10:58 and is now eligible to participate in the 2019 IAAF World Championship in Doha, Qatar and the Pan Am Games in Lima, Peru. The world championship is set to take place Sept. 27-Oct. 6 at the Khalifa International Stadium. The Pan Am Games will take place July 26-Aug. 11.
