OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma City businessman Clay Bennett is resigning from the University of Oklahoma Board of Regents, effective immediately, citing health concerns.
University officials confirmed Bennett's resignation on Wednesday, shortly after it was announced at the start of a regents meeting. Bennett is president of the private investment firm Dorchester Capital and chairman of the ownership group of the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder.
A university spokesperson did not elaborate on Bennett's health concerns.
