Softball Splits Opening Day, Defeats Southwest Baptist Before Falling to #2 Southern Arkansas

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Rogers State Softball opened up their season on Saturday with a 1-1 split at the opening day of the Ronnie Hawkins Invitational in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

The Hillcats played both games at Henderson State University, defeating Southwest Baptist 14-0 in the opener before dropping a tough 1-0 battle to No. 2 Southern Arkansas.

Rogers State's start to the 2019 season could not have gone any better, as the Hillcats piled 11 runs on Southwest Baptist in the bottom of the first inning. Allie McFetridge started the scoring with a two-RBI single down the left field line. Three batte...
