HOUSTON, Texas – Tristan Thomas went 3-for-4 with a home run and a pair of runs batted in, helping the Arkansas Tech baseball team (1-1) pick up its first win of the 2019 season, defeating St. Mary's (1-1) 10-6 on Saturday night at Minute Maid Park.


Arkansas Tech continues play at the Houston Winter Invitational on Sunday Feb. 3 as the Wonder Boys face off against No. 5 Texas A&M Kingsville at 10 a.m.

Tech recorded 10 hits, led by Tristan Thomas who went going 3-for-4 with a home run and a pair of RBIs.

Britt Stroth went 1-for-4 with three RBIs. Both Dylan McDearmon and Riley Hickerson scored twice.

Tech left five runners on base, while St. Mary's left three runners on base.

Isaac Hale picked up the first win of the season for the Wonder Boys after pitching 6.0 innings, while allowing runs on two hits.
