WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Authorities say a southeast Kansas man has been arrested in an apparent stabbing attack that killed his wife and injured her 84-year-old grandmother.

The Wichita Eagle reports that the grandmother called 911 around noon Monday to report that her granddaughter, 37-year-old Brandy Delmarco, was being assaulted. The Crawford County Sheriff's Office says Delmarco and her grandmother were suffering from what appeared to be serious stab wounds when the first deputy arrived.
