Joshua Orin Hansel, 39, of Alva, was injured Wednesday when he was ejected from his vehicle in a rollover. He was transported by Alfalfa County EMS to Share Hospital in Alva before being transported by Alva EMS to Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. He was admitted there in stable condition with head, trunk internal, trunk external, arms and leg injuries.

The wreck occurred at 5:30 a.m. on U.S. 64 three-tenths of a mile west of Ingersol in Alfalfa County.

The highway patrol report shows Hansel was driving a 2999 Chevrolet pickup and was traveling too fast for the road conditions. He departed the roadway on the left, rolling one and one-half times. Hansel was ejected out of the passenger side window. Hansel was not wearing a seatbelt.

Trooper Randy McCullough investigated the scene assisted by the Alfalfa County Sheriff’s Office, Cherokee Fire Department and Alfalfa County EMS.
