The Eagles, led by 3 experienced senior players, have high hopes for District Playoffs. Pictured here with their coach (left to right) Pedro Iberra, Blake Lee, Coach Scott Renken, and Kristopher Fargo.

A big fourth quarter by the Lady Eagles could not bring them back in the 64-48 Senior Night loss to the Waynoka Lady Railroaders. After falling behind big, the Lady Eagles fought their way back until time ran out. The team never gave up, scoring 27 points in a furious fourth quarter while only giving up 8 points.

Led by Summer Ralston, who had 14 of her 24 points in that quarter, the Lady Eagles hit six three pointers in the fourth. Other scorers were Ariana White with 14, Emily Reed with nine, Linsey Weber with two and Tamlynn Link with one.

The Eagles played a great defensive game against Waynoka but came up short in the 46-35 loss. The Eagles fell behind and kept getting back into the game all night long. Every time the Eagles made a run the Railroaders would pull away again. It was a strong showing against a very strong Waynoka team.

Senior Kris Fargo lead the team with 18 points and 13 rebounds while Myles Nixon had 11 points and nine rebounds. Other scorers were senior Pedro Ibarra and senior Blake Lee, each with three.

Senior Night Players Recognized

One Lady Eagle and three Eagles were recognized at Freedom High School's last home game for the 2018-19 season. Khrista McComb is the only senior for the Lady Eagles and has played basketball for four years. Kristopher Fargo, Blake Lee and Pedro Iberra are starters for the Eagles and were recognized during the last regular season home game.
