Eagles' early season run continues with wins over Newman, OBU

FORT WORTH, Texas (Feb. 7, 2019) – Oklahoma Christian baseball coach Lonny Cobble hoped to use the first couple of weeks of the season to learn about his team's strengths and figure out how the Eagles could be a competitive team going forward.

What he's finding out is the Eagles are really competitive right now.

The Eagles stayed unbeaten at 5-0, rolling past Newman (Kan.) 14-4 and Oklahoma Baptist 10-7 on Thursday in the Alpine Fresh 4Him Classic in north Texas. OC's 5-0 start is its best since the program was reborn with the 2008 season. During that stretch, the Eagles have beaten two teams...
