Lady Tigers Put Up a Good Fight in a Clash of Rivals

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The Lady Tigers have a strong showing at rival Henderson State, but they fall in the end 75-62.
Alivia Huell led the Lady Tigers with 17 points and nine rebounds. Madison Brittain added in 13 points going 3-4 from behind the three point line. Jakyya Clay off the bend put in eight points and eight rebounds.
In the first quarter the Lady Tigers came out hot, taking a quick 7-3 lead. Eden Crow would extend the lead back to four at 10-6 with 4:32 left in the quarter. A Jakyya Clay free throw is the only other points Ouachita would score, but they held the 11-10 lead going into the second.
The Lady Tigers would use an 11-2 run to push their lead to 10 started off by an Eden Crow jumper. The run would be capped off by an Alivia Huell jumper to make the score 22-12. The Tigers would end the half with four made free throws to give themselves an 26-21 lead at the break.
Madison Brittain would catch fire in the third quarter scoring 11 of the Tigers 20 points. The Tigers would strike first in the quarter extending the lead out to eight. The Reddies would battle back, but Brittain would make a jumper with 7:20 to extend the Lady Tiger lead to three points. Ouachita would go down by five before Madison Raney would make a three and Madison Brittain would make a jumper to tie to game up at 40. Ouachita would go down by five again, but they would then answer with two consecutive threes one by Brittain and one by Rylee Lavender. The Lady Tigers would trail the Reddies by four going into the fourth quarter. The Tiger would run out of steam and drop the game 75-62.

Madison Brittain becomes the first Lady Tiger since 2015 to tally 12 consecutive games of double digit scoring.
