The Goldbugs battled with the Red Devils in the first quarter as Prague led Alva by one point at the end of the first period. As the Bugs entered into the second quarter the team began to struggle on offense. Alva scored just six points in the second period and finished the half down 27-20. Coach Shane Feeley mentioned that his team had too much empty possessions in the second period, which led to their team's offensive whoa in the period. After Prague started the game in man-to-man defense in the second quarter, the team switched to zone and began to selectively trap players throughout the period.

Alva found their offensive breath in the third period as the team finished the quarter outscoring the Devils 15-14. Unfortunately, the Red Devils stormed back in the fourth to outscore the Goldbugs 14-10 and ultimately take the game by 10 points.

Like the Ladybugs, the Goldbugs will play the loser of the Chisholm versus Blackwell match Thursday afternoon at 3 p.m.
