Harding Baseball Gets On, Gets In to Win GAC Opener 5-3

SEARCY – Harding's leadoff hitter reached six times and scored five times Saturday in a 5-3 victory over Arkansas-Monticello in the first game of a three-game Great American Conference series at Jerry Moore Field.
The victory was the fifth straight for Harding, who improved to 5-3 overall and 1-0 in the GAC. Arkansas-Monticello lost its second straight game and fell to 1-4 overall and 0-1 in conference.
The teams conclude the series with a doubleheader Sunday at 1 p.m.
