The Alva Ladybugs lost by two points to Prague in the first round of districts Friday night.

The Lady Devils led early on as Prague jumped out to a 15-8 lead at the end of the first quarter. Alva found their offensive breath in the second quarter as Chloe Durkee and Hallie Durkee combined to score 10 of their team's 14 points in the period. Alva was able to cut into the lead that Prague established early on in the game as Alva trailed Prague 29-23 going into the half.

Alva continued to battle in the third period as Payton Jones started to heat up in the quarter as she scored six points. Despite playing a really good game, the Ladybugs fell in the fourth quarter.

Next Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Chisholm, the Ladybugs will play the loser of the Chisholm versus Blackwell game.
