DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern bounced back from an 11-3 loss to Oklahoma Baptist in game one on Saturday to turn in an 11-3 victory in the rubber-match and take the series 2-1 on Saturday afternoon at The ballpark in Durant.

The win split moves the Savage Storm to 4-6 overall on the season and 2-1 in Great American Conference play.

In the series finale, Bryce Deatherage held the Bison hitless until the fifth inning and finished the contest allowing three runs on three hits with seven strikeouts in 6.0 innings of work.

Easton Elliott tallied two hits to lead the way, while Regan Warren, Joseph Cerda, Austin Ferguson, Davis Jenks, Slayde Ortiz, Caleb Dubler, McCain Mason, and Chris Eusay each collected a hit to bring the team total to 10 for the game.

Dubler drove in two runs, while Drew Bolin, Warren, Luke Thomas, Elliott, Jenks, Ortiz, and Mason added an RBI each.

Jenks drew a bases loaded walk to put SE on the board, followed by an Ortiz RBI fielder's choice. The lead grew to 3-0 after a Dubler bases loaded walk.

An Elliott double would plate Ferguson in the second and open the lead to 4-0.

In the third inning, Ortiz would score on a wild pitch, as would Dubler, before a Bolin sac fly plated Mason to stretch the lead to 7-0.

A Dubler squeeze bunt would bring home Jenks in the fourth which was followed by a Mason RBI double to stretch the lead to 9-0.

OBU would pick up three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to cut into the Storm lead and make it 9-3, but a Warren RBI triple was followed by a Thomas RBI groundout to push the lead out to the final of 11-3.

Harrison Whitworth collected a pair of hits to lead the offense in game one, while Austin Ferguson, Easton Elliott, and Luke Thomas each tallied a hit.

Elliott and Joseph Cerda drove in a run each.

Jordon Compton tallied two-thirds of an inning with a strikeout and Jacob Bigham finished the game, allowing a hit in 1.1 innings of work.

SE fell behind early as a wild pitch would bring home a run in the first and a two-run home run would give the Bison a 3-0 lead heading to the third inning.

Neither team scored in the third, and the Storm got its offense in motion in the top of the fourth as an Elliott double would bring home Deatherage who earned a walk to open the inning.

SE tacked on another run two batters later on a groundout by Cerda to plate Ferguson and close the gap to 3-2 midway through the fourth inning.

OBU added a run in the bottom of the fourth and another in the fifth to take a 5-2 lead to the sixth.

In the bottom of the sixth the Bison would add on six runs with a two-run double and a grand slam home run to take an 11-2 lead.

SE would take advantage of an error in the top of the seventh to add a third run, but would ultimately fall 11-3.
