New Mexico school shooting suspect questioned 11 months ago

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (AP) — A 16-year-old boy accused of firing a gun at a New Mexico high school last week on the anniversary of the Parkland, Florida, shooting that killed 17 told officers 11 months earlier that voices were telling him to "shoot up the school," according to a police report.

A police officer in the Albuquerque suburb of Rio Rancho was called to V. Sue Cleveland High School in March 2018 after a girl told school officials the teen had sent her text messages about bringing a weapon to campus, the Albuquerque Journal reported .
