TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Federal prosecutors in Tulsa say a physician will pay the government nearly $85,000 to settle allegations he was involved in an illegal kickback scheme.
U.S. Attorney Trent Shores said Tuesday 42-year-old Dr. Brandon Claflin, an osteopathic physician, had entered into a civil settlement agreement with the government to recoup costs that resulted from the alleged kickbacks.
Shores says the settlement resulted from an investigation into health care providers who wrote prescriptions for pain creams compounded and sold by OK Compounding.
