Chapter Chaplain Louise Prigmore is shown swearing in the newest member of the Cherokeee Outlet Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Beverly Kinzie.

The February meeting of the Cherokee Outlet Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was held on Feb. 14 in the Alva Public Library. Two highlights of the meeting were the installation of the newest member, Beverly Kinzie, and the visit of Pat McFall. Kinzie has had her application in to the DAR for almost five years. After extensive efforts of Marceline Piper, the chapter registrar, and state genealogists, Kinzie was finally accepted. Kinzie stated that her daughter and granddaughter want to become members soon.
