DURANT, Okla. – Southeastern's Mason Whitmarsh has been named the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week following his efforts in a series win over Southwestern Oklahoma State.

Whitmarsh tossed game two of the series and turned in his best outing to date for the Savage Storm in a 6-1 win.

He would retire the first 20 batters to come to the plate for SWOSU and would ultimately hold them hitless through 7.1 innings.

Whitmarsh finished the day by tossing 8.0 innings and allowing one hit and no runs while striking out eight.
