SEARCY – Harding women's tennis ran its winning streak to five straight matches with a 7-0 nonconference victory over Ouachita Baptist on a blustery Saturday afternoon at the Harding Tennis Courts.

Harding (8-1) won two of the three doubles matches and swept singles with six straight-sets victories. Ouachita lost its sixth straight and fell to 2-10 overall.

Harding took the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. Emily and Allison Carpenter won 7-5 for their 11th victory in 13 matches this season. Erin Young and Joee Crocker won 6-3 at No. 3 for their second victory of the season.

Harding needed three wins in singles to clinch, and those came from Rylie Cox at No. 1, Hana Folse at No. 3, and the clincher from Allison Jenkins at No. 4.

Arisa Takanashi, Erin Young and Alina Ivanova also won in straight sets.

Harding returns to action Tuesday for a nonconference matchup against Henderson State beginning at 2 p.m.
