Body found near Lake Overholser bridge; third since February

BETHANY, Okla. (AP) — Police are investigating after a body was found at a central Oklahoma lake, making it the third body found near or in the lake in just over a week.

Authorities responded Tuesday to Lake Overholser, on the border of Oklahoma City and Bethany.

Oklahoma City police Capt. Bo Matthews says a horseback rider discovered the body under a bridge.

Matthews says the body was found in the Bethany Police Department's jurisdiction, so that agency will lead this investigation.
